How to care for your Cowhide Phone Case
WARNING – COWHIDE PRODUCTS ARE PRONE TO SHED HAIR.
To help maintain the integrity of your cowhide phone case we advise the following -
- Avoid friction and rubbing;
- Do not place the phone case in clothing pockets as this will cause the hide to shed;
- Avoid placing hands in the same position on the phone case when possible. Oil and sweat from fingers and palms can cause the hair to shed if held excessively in the same position;
- Keep as cool and dry as possible;
- Try to avoid sunlight and heat;
- Keep it clean by brushing delicately in the direction of the hair to remove loose dirt. Then, using a damp cloth, gently rub the hide in the direction of the hair being sure to avoid excessive moisture. Allow to dry naturally. (Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents)
NOTE: You may notice a burnt odour on your phone case. Laser engraving is essentially burning the surface of the cowhide and will leave an odour which will dissipate in time. If the smell is overly offensive leave in a cool, dry and well ventilated area until the odour has faded.
Please be aware that when your purchase any cowhide product from VK Vinyl you agree to avoid friction, not place item in clothing pockets, accept that natural oils from hands will cause the hide to shed, keep in cool space, avoid sunlight and heat, and keep it as clean as possible. By accepting these terms, VK Vinyl will not be held reliable for hide loss when these terms have been broken. We understand that this can be difficult, and we are happy to work with you if serious hide loss has occurred.
